![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It’s a proper pub so of course it has traditional pub games darts, dommies, pool and big TV for all the important sport. It has since been sympathetically restored by Joule’s revealing beautiful oak floorboards and hidden beams whilst adding bespoke stained glass windows, an inviting log burner, friendly seating areas and cosy corners. The White Lion dates from the mid-19th century, and it has been one of the busiest pubs in the town ever since. The White Lion is poised on the corner of Wem High Street bang opposite the Castle, the other of our Taps. Wem, an historic Shropshire market town is the birth place of the Sweet Pea, first commercially cultivated in this lovely little town in 1888…more importantly though, it is home to our second Wem Brewery Tap. ![]()
